I’m Nessa Chileshe (chill-esh-ee) and I’m a writer hailing from a little town just outside of Birmingham, UK.

On 1st January 2023, my first post will be making it’s way to your inboxes and I couldn’t be more excited to be finally sharing my work with you in a way that feels like I can connect and develop a personal community.

I’ve been feeling a shift recently to spend less time trying to grow an audience on spaces like Instagram and develop more meaningful digital connections (not in the same way Meta mean) where I can be present with the audiences that enjoy my work without feeling bombarded by the endless amount of content on social media platforms that makes me feel like I’m somehow lacking and makes life… noisy.

Anyway, slight rant over, here’s the dealio:

I like to think of Nessa C Writes as a writing scrapbook of sorts. Chances are, it won’t be a linear read. It will be bits of bobs of things I’ve been thinking and feelings with smidgens of life updates thrown in for good measure.

I’m also really excited because I’ve been hard at work writing my first ever novel which I will be serialising on Substack too - More information all of that coming real soon!
